Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist
Duties and Responsibilities:
Elontorneurodiagnotstic technologist use electronic graph to determine if patients are suffering from a central nervous system condition or disease like epilepsy, tumors, stroke, or trauma. The graphs are the record of the brain’s electrical activity.
Electroneurodiangnostic technologists usually work in hospitals, laborites, or physicians` offices they:
·       Prepare medical records.
·       Apply electrodes and select instruments setting.
·       Perform electroneurodiagnostic test.
·       Adjust and maintain their equipment.
·       Record test results.
·       Identify patient’s abnormalities.
Average Salary: $20, 00-$35,000
Educational Requirements:
Electroneurodiagnostic technologists must have a high school diploma and some courses in computer technology before beginning specialized training.
Electroneurodiagnostic training can be obtained through vocational school, community colleges and in some cases hospitals. Training takes one year and is followed by another year of supervised experience. Before beginning practice electroneurodiagnostic technologist must pass writing and oral examinations.
