Duties and Responsibilities: They work with patients and help make family decisions of their history disease of their family and their conditions. Example: A woman has breast cancer; she just figured out that she got it for the reason that it was ruined by her family history. So, that where a Genetic Counselor come in and explains how this can affect their children’s and their conditions. A Genetic Counselor also helps patients on how to prevent their ricks on disease if it runs by their genes.

Salary: $49,551-$64,865

Education: In order to be a Genetic Counselor the would need to get their Bachelor’s degree or Master`s degree. They would graduate in a program in biology, nursing phychology, genetics, public health, social work

I would want to be a Genetic Counselor becuase , I would want to sopport the people that would need to be sorpport and i can help my family. Itll be better for me and them.
